hey guys in the next week or two im going to be adding a varaam intake, american racing headers with high flow cats and xpipe and of course its going to be tuned. Does anyone have an idea of how much horsepower i should be expecting xtra? and how much horsepower im should be expecting to the wheels?
RWHP will depend on which transmission you have and what brand dyno you test on. Assuming you have a 6-speed and test on a dynojet you could see roughly 350rwhp after headers, Vararam and tune.
330-335 rwhp, A dyno number is a rough estimate and should only be used for comparing numbers from mod to mod.. There are different types of dynos.. Will the numbers be SAE corrected? Even with the same dyno and settings I have seen a 20 rwhp difference with the same type dynojet and Sae corrections on my 02 Z06, with no changes in modifications.. This is from 3 different places in the DFW area.. Plan on a 25-30rwhp increase over whatever baseline you have.. Have you done a baseline dyno run yet??.. You really need to so that you can see the actual increase after mods. As mentioned above there will be about a 5% difference between the automatic and manual transmission at the rear wheels
I have 98, added a large CAM, Long Tube Headers with High Flow Cat Converters and a Dyno and went from 345HP to 465HP at the crank and 405HP at the RW.
