Default What Do I Need?

Ok I have an auto Corvette and want to swap out my LS1 intake Manifold to an LS6. I already bought the LS6 manifold from a forum member, but just wanted to know what parts I needed in order to install this. I've read other threads that said something about a coolant line and smoothing off the bottom, but does anyone know the part numbers, or if there's anything else I need? Thanks!

There are two ways to address the coolant bypass lines. You can grind clearance for your existing lines or you can use the LS6 setup. If you want to go the LS6 route you will need to buy the following:

(1) pipe assembly 12602544 Quantity 1
(2) cover 12602540 Quantity 2

I would recommend getting them from Gene Culley at gmpartshouse.com


If your intake is not new I would also recommend you get new gaskets.

You profile says you have an 03 ?

I thought everything starting with 01 had the LS6 manifold???

Changes:
2001
return to 28# injectors for all models.
Second Generation Active Handling
Nassau Blue discontinued
Alternator 'clutch' pulley added on A4 cars
New soundproofing + foam in all cars
Smaller keyfob
electrochromic dimming rearview and driver's mirrors
lighter AGM battery
Thickness + Material in vert change
Chrome exhaust tips for coupe + vert
85MM MAF with integral temp sensor (versus 74mm with separate plug for IAT)
LS1 cam profile changed to: .500/0.500, 198/208 on 115.5LSA (From: 0.472/0.479, 202/210 on 117)
All Corvettes now have the LS6 intake manifold

That leads me to believe it is the same intake for both LS1 and LS6.

They do show different part #s for the cams so it's not as if they don't list LS6 specific items.

I do, my friend has a 2000. Mine is staying stock, we're fixing his up a little. There's a big flame war on a local forum thinking that a Corvette Mod for Mod won't be able to beat a Mustang GT. Trying to prove that theory wrong...

haha should be an easy one to prove if its just a gt. termis are a little tougher tho
