So sometimes when I put the key in the ignition and turn the car will not start. It doesn't do any noises or anything strange, it just won't start. So I take the key out , then put it back in, turn it a couple more times and it starts right up.
This a very sporadic and doesn't happen all the time but is beginning to happen more often now. My buddy says that it could be my ignition solenoid going out.

Use a volt meter and meaure the battery voltage with the ignition turned off. You need a minimum of 12.5vdc for things to work. When you are turning the key, what happens with the security light in the IP Cluster?
I always advise people to clip a DVM to switch post on solenoid and verify 12 volts is present when you turn the key to start the car. If no voltage then problem is upstream, ignition switch going bad maybe, could be your contact area on you key is dirty, if voltage is present it could be your solenoid or starter is going bad. Hope this helps.
