Well if I list it all separately the webpage becomes twice as long. So in the order they're listed, the price of the header comes first and then if you want the x pipe you can see it clearly on the description page. If you go to add it to the cart it takes you to the description page and you can see the price with the x pipe and cats. You have the option of the just the header or the complete system.
$960 and $1475 is a huge difference I didn't think anyone would mistake that for a complete system price. :o It's not meant to mislead in anyone.
Corvette C5 1997-2000 C5 1 3/4 x 3, X pipe 3 x 2 1/2 n/c
1 3/4 x 3, X pipe 3 x 2 1/2 n/c [4 in stock]
PRICE: $935.00
My eyes must be playing tricks on me..... Looks to me like the description contains: Header size, X pipe size, and declares n/c (I assume no/cats). States there are 4 sets in stock, then gives a price of $935.00
You have to actually want to buy them to find out the real price is $1475.07
Where I come from that is deceiving, or in advertising lingo "Bait and Switch"
I guess I can remove the x-pipe from the title. Maybe that would help but to suggest its bait and switch is pretty funny
It's purely not intentional.
But then you'll complain you have to look at the actual description to see the x pipe price so really I wont win no matter what. I've seen pages thet get long and list all the options separately and it can be a bit much to navigate.
So really I think it's ok the way it is. It's still the lowest price you will find on them.

American Racing Headers:
Corvette C5 1997-2000
Headers:1 3/4 x 3, $XXX.00
X pipe: 3 x 2 1/2 n/c $XXX.00
Combined price: $XXXX.00
[4 in stock]
I'm not an ad writer, I'm a Senior Boiler Operator, but for my first attempt I think I got that all on there in the same space you used to confuse the price. I may be working on a second career. ..."pear"
It's not that simple. It takes information and sets it up according to how it does it not how I want it to look.
In order to get it to list separately like that I would have to list each size 3 times: header, header with x and cats, header with x and no cats.
If your looking to buy them your going to click the link and get the price with the options you want. It's simple really, you cant just go to checkout from that first page so its not a bait and switch. You simply have to click the link of the size your interested in.
Here is a definition of bait and switch
The bait and switch begins with the bait, an advertisement for a product at what seems like an extremely low price. Sometimes these products, such as a mattress, are of very low quality. Other times, the price may apply to one specific style of, or model of an item. In general, the bait is stocked in very low numbers. In some cases, only one or two of items are available at the low price.
Once the customer has walked into the retail establishment, the bait and switch moves to the switch. The salesperson will inform the customer that the store has sold out of the advertised item and offer a similar item at a higher price. Alternately the salesperson may push hard to be certain the customer understands that the lower-priced product is of inferior quality, and try to sell a better quality product at a higher price. Bait and switch may also be used to bring in customers with bait, low prices, and also raise prices of unrelated items that customers might also pick up at the time.

I don't think it was bait and switch. A full set (headers,hi-flow cats, and x-pipe) of AR Headers from ARH is ~$1800. I would expect to be getting something less than a full set for half of the price of a full set from the OEM. It was more likely poor HTML coding (thats bad typesetting...for the old guys ).

WOW not sure what Web Page design software you're useing but I never heard of such a thing. I used to use MS Front Page for a small business (www.cnotekennels.com) I used to run online, and MS FP allowed you to write what you wanted and it would convert to HTML for you simple as that.
As for "bait and switch" not exactly by Websters standard, but you'll have to admit it does give you the impression what is listed is $935.00 then lets you down when you want to add to cart. To get what you went after, the price goes up... Not a real big deal. It gets you back on track pretty quick.
If you're really serious about designing a nice web page, I'm sure that there is much more user friendly design programs out there. Your on the right track, and in the end your prices were inline with what I expected to see when I went to your Website link. I thought I'd hit the Jackpot on the first page that presents it's self... Hey look at all the free bumps you got there. You've been on or near the top all night If I can help you out let me know Haven't played with web design for a long time, might be fun. ... ..."pear"
I appreciate the help Pear. The editor came with the webpage and it is limited a little bit. I'm not a webmaster in the slightest bit so I'm doing all I can to make it look presentable.
I was thinking about it last night and how I could change it to not confuse, I pride myself on being and honest business man so I am looking at how to change it. I think if I list the system first and then the header itself as the option it will reverse what you seeing. You would have to then click the link to get the individual header price.

First of all welcome to the forum and being a supporting vendor!
As far as the web page goes it is a little confusing with just the price of the headers displayed after you click on American Racing Headers, but with the X pipe in the description, However there's now way anyone who can read and ordered would ever think the cost for the entire system was the $900.+ price. Once you click on the setup you want it clearly states the price with or without cats and x pipe!
Buy the way your price is one of the best I've seen on AR headers and your throwing in some extra goodies! If I didn't have a big payment going out to "Uncle Sam" on the 15th I'd be ordering!
99blancoss The one you changed is much less confusing Good job!! By the way great prices. I may be in the market this fall. I'll be in touch. ..."pear"
