I am in the process of replacing the pass side air check valve and can't see to get the bolt off that is behind the engine. Any suggestion would be helpful thanks.
I used a 1/4 inch ratchet, 6 inch extension and universal socket but u also can use a open end wrench but you will only be able to turn it a couple of mm at a time. All you need to do is loosin it to remove the tube if you take it all the way out you'll have a alot of fun replacing it good luck.

Yep. The mounting bracket is slotted. No need to remove the bolt all the way. A box-end ratchet wrench is your friend.

Thanks to everyone, took a fresh look at this morning and I still can't see how to get at that bolt because the wiring harness is in the way. On the passenger side the harness is behind the air tube but on the driver side it is in front of the tube making impossible to get a wrench or socket on the bolt. Is that the correct placement for the harness?
You'll have to move the harness, i pushed it to the driver side it will move just enough for you to get a boxed end wrench on it. Get tough on the harness if not when u push it, it will move right back, good luck hang in there you have came to far stay patient and take ur time. when u get the tube off hit the check valve with PB blaster before u attempt to remove it mine was baked on and a B^$% to get off. I used a 1 inch wrench and adjustable wrench.

Make sure to hold ur mouth just right too.
Seriously, come time to thread the new CV onto the tube, make sure you use some anti-seize on the threads. If you ever have to go back to it again in the futire, you'll be very glad you did. I also make sure to use anti-seize on the threads of the small bolts (two per side) where the small diameter A.I.R. tube bolts up to the exhaust manifold. Over time most any exhaust related part tends to seize up so I always keep the AS handy when doing anything exhaust related. Same thing under the car if you work on it there too.
The AIR tube bracket on my '01 has an M8 bolt with a 13mm hex head.
I only needed a 1/4 inch drive ratchet, with a 13mm socket, to get at the bolt. Moving the vacuum line to the power brake booster out of the way helps too.

Yes it is 13mm hex, problem is somebody must have done this before, as the wiring harness is in front of the air tube making it very difficult to remove if not impossible.
If you get it, you are ahead of me.
Even with the help of forum knowledge base, it wasn't happening for me.
Finally, I cut the bracket in half with a hacksaw. With the Check Valve tube out of the way, then I could finallly get to that screw.
To re-install, I welded a tab with a hex nut to the part of the bracket on the back of the cylinder head. I drilled a hole in the other half of the bracket. If I ever have to get at it again, my new bolt is facing right towards the to front of the engine bay.

Come on you are making it to easy that takes all the fun out of it
