External temp sensor plug missing ??
Bought a 2000 a few days ago and trying to get it all straightend out. Noticed this morning my external temp reading 69 when it was in the 40's. Found several threads so I located the sensor to find it unplugged. I've only been able to locate one un-used plug under the pass side light housing that was free of connection and it not only does not reach the temp sensor location but also does not fit the sensor. I'm guessing that plug is for foglights which this car had at one time. Any idea how to identify the plug for the temp sensor? I can't see under the light housing and can't find another plug by feeling around. Thanks

Thanks, found it. Somebody had the external temp plug plugged into the wire harness that is attached to the frame rail right above the sensor. I can only assume that plug was there for maybe a hood light which I do not have. Anyway, it's now fixed.
