Default question regarding various temperatures..

Just a general question on various fluid / system temps...
Lately, I think I've seen some higher then normal temperatures, specifically, coolant, and engine oil. But, I may just be imagining things. ? ! ?

Today, just driving around normally, no fast starts, etc. the coolant temp would hover between 196 and 212. Engine oil temp was pretty close to the same at 196. Automatic transmission temp was about 187. I'm pretty sure they were about 10 degrees or more cooler not long ago....

Now I know the engine can withstand much higher temps under much more demanding driving then going to Sams Club... but it made me wonder....what are some of you seeing for these items under day to day driving?

Appreciate anyone chiming in.

Jeff

Have a 2001 A4 coupe with 49,000 miles and see almost the exact temps that you are recording across the board. Around town, no high speed bursts, usual traffic lights, no freeway cruising etc. I think you are well within the norms. Outside temps 60-65 degrees by the way.

Thanks guys....dunno why, but something just seems different for some reason. I blew out the radiator, topped off-checked the oil, 1/4 - 1/2 quart low...and made sure anti-freeze was full...and still...it seems to be running just slightly warmer. I guess it's the trans and oil temps I curious about.
