well, any warranty left by chance? if you do a Search in the archives, you will find a thread or two replete with part numbers, cost, everything. check it out
my home made fix: stick a 2x2 or a 4x4 behing the seat and back the seat against it tight. Works on mine. I hear the fix is expensive and may not even work
Good Luck
Saved the following. Have not verified the part numbers.

....The first and original part # they replaced my track with was # 12455533 that lasted about 5 minutes.
The next part # was 12455495 - that is the one that was supposed to be a new track replacement but then they changed it back to the first number (i.e. 12455533)
Now the number...straight from GM warehouse is part # 88898621 (Seat Track adjuster) and they also listed another part # 10272551 (Handle).
....
Take care
Steve
my seat does the same thing the chevy dealer looked at my car and said i need a seat ajuster which in not under warrenty....$800... so i said ill deal with it
$800 for a seat adjuster!!! I can get a new seat for that! Its a small pain, but kind of retarted, much cheaper cars don't do this. This is my first C5, and I'm still a newbie.
YOU SILLY! Not only can't you spell, you obviously can't read also. This is the CORVETTE forum not the CHEVETTE forum, although I can't blame you for trying. Is it really fast though. Just wonderin' Ronnysho   :seeya
My new 2002 coupe seat rocks and I took in to the dealer and they told me that Chevy knows about the problem and that a TSB will be out soon for the fix. I dont believe it but that is what they told me. I'll let ya'll know if I ever get it fixed.

We've been waiting for that mythical TSB for about 5 years. Mine was replaced under warranty about a year and a half ago with new, but not improved parts. It's holding up OK so far.
