Default C6Z06 swaybars on a C5Z06

Would the C6Z06 swaybars be an improvement over the stock C5Z06 bars on a 2002 Z06?

Not really much difference. The front isn't much bigger but the rear goes up in size a lot more meaning your car would probably just end up more prone to oversteer. If you are not tubbed then the best bet is C6Z51 bars but they're not a lot bigger on either end and would give minimal gains.

I have a C5 that has the base suspension system. I have a set of shocks, sway bars, and springs. I have installed the shocks and sway bars. After a road test the diffrence in the
ride is a little stiffer. The corning is a bunch better, the car is very flat in the corners. Car handles bumps in corners very well also. Can't wait to see what the springs do.

Which shocks and bars did you go with? C6z06? C5z06?

Are the springs c5 or c6?

You went from base C5 to Z06 C5. This will be a decent improvement. The origional post asked about going from Z06 C5 to z06 C6 which is completely different.

ive heard the z06 bars are too thick for 295's on the rear. i would plan to run around a 335 street tire on the back with those bars. 295 slicks on the back though would work with the z06 bars, but if you plan on streeting it, that really isnt an option. i think the c6z51 sway bars would be the way to go. that is what i plan on installing. gmpartshouse has a great deal on the z51 bars, and it includes free poly bushings. you can buy the metal end links too from them.

I went from C5 Z51 bars to C6 Z51 bars and it was a huge improvement.
