Concern regarding airbags
Hey guys as most know, I am doing a complete Z06 transformation over to a '99 FRC. The Z06 that the parts are coming from was salvaged and both air bags blowed. The '99 FRC was basically stripped, but did have wiring intact, passenger airbag and airbag module. It did not have interior, suspension, motor, driveline, etc. It did not have a drivers airbag, so I purchased one. The car is 90% complete now and I will be installing a battery in the next couple days to crank it. My worries are the airbags somehow deploying upon battery hookup,lol. Is there anything or anyway that the airbags will deploy upon battery connection. The '99 has basically been rebuilt using 2001 Z06 parts and accessories. I guess with any rebuild there is the thought about the airbag system malfunctioning. Any thing I should make sure of before battery connection? BTW, the '99 is a clean title and never wrecked, so the airbag module/sensor in the hvac area is good.
