Can't reset LF tire pressure sensor
Bought new sensor and went through the reset procedure but horn won't beep and will not read that tire. Others are fine. Help! Dealer says they can set it for $70. Ouch!

Is your magnet strong enough? Maybe the LF sensor is defective? I purchased a U-shaped magnet at the hardware store and it worked like a charm.

I used a big woofer to reset my sensors. Sometimes the little magnets don't work or are sporadic. Are you sure the tire guy didn't squish it when he was shoehorning the tire on?

I forgot one more thing. You didn't mention what year C5 you have. I think that the tire pressure sensors for later years ( 2000/2001 and up ) are not compatible with the earlier ones.

I used a set of 4 round magnets that just fit over the stem. I'll try a stronger magnet if you think that might be it. It is a 98 model coupe.

Little Lobo: I've been through this myself, however I have not mixed a set of these. But for that matter, I'm not sure there is such a term as mixing. Are the round dounut magents you used from Radio Shack, and stack in 3's or 4's around the stem? If so these magnets are plent powerful for the set. DO you have the bulletin on this procedure? If not, You should go to the C5 Registry for the tech bulletin that walks you through this. It clearly states that in some cases, the tire learn procedure may have to be repeated. Let me know if you can't find it and I'll see if I can attach send it to you. I can't get to it right now or I would send.
