This is for my wife's stock C5 2004 LS1 automaic convertible. I ordered a 160 degree t-stat which I use in my C6 Z06 and another C5 Z06 years back w/out issues after fan controls were set. It gets hot up in the summer. On my two cars mentioned I used a Hypertech tuner.
I got this Diablo Sport Predator to set her fan controls etc. My question is all my cars have been 6 speeds so I'm not hip to making the automatic tranny adjustments. She races when I do in her C5 and leaves the car in "drive". What would you suggest I do to get maximum performance from the tranny left in "Drive"? Will changing shift firmness effect her daily driving feel when not at WOT? Any info appreciated. If not I'll have to track it and make adjustments then for her in between round in my LS7. We live 5 miles from the track so it's no real issue on a test and tune nights. Thanks.
Thanks I'll try it. I'll have to drive it before she tracks it so I don't hear any complaints. She will only drive it "D" so it shoudl be OK. Appreciated the detailed reply.
