Default P0343 CMP Sensor Circuit High Voltage

Im getting this code shot to me. there is a history, and it seems intermitten. im seeing a few things why this could happen but not to sure.

it did throw the code to me after it took a few extra seconds to start, or did it do that because of a bad sensor not being able to tell if the engine was ready for intake or exhaust, or just not enough juice to turn the engine over then threw the code becuase how long it took?
on top of it i only have 2 days till shes out of inspection, which isnt that big a deal but sucks.
any help on this would be AWESOME.

0343 is what I got when my camshaft bolts backed out. You need to open the front cover and take a look.

Sorry to hear it, same with me. You might wanna consider parking it and stock up your beer for this weekend.

i think what im gonna do is get into the valley and see if the cam did move. if not then maybe its just a sensor. i figure this way would be easier/quicker then tearin the front apart and finding out the bolts are tight, and i waisted 4 hours. this will be the first time i take the manifold and valley cover off, but from what i can take an hour.

thanks guys for the help, ill keep ya posted!

finally ripped the thing apart. turns out the cam bolts were loose. right away when C5kid and I looked at the bolts, 2 of them where very loose and only one was hand tight, leaving a thick bushy ***** hair gap between head of the bolt and sprocket.
