So I just bought a Z, but I was at a local dealership here in Ohio, which is kinda known for having some nice Corvette's. I went to look at an 01 Z with 21k miles, and it sold just before I got there. Well, I took an 04 convertible for a ride.
When I drove it, the speedometer (dash and HUD) didn't work. After I got back, I told the saleman that (who also owns the dealership). and he didn't seem concerned at all.
I am just curious,if there is any easy way to do this? Like maybe the dealership unplugged the speedo so the miles wouldn't increase with the test drives? Or is this a more serious problem?
I did not purchase my car from there. That dealership is rather well known around the area for having Corvette's. It is Dave Kehl Chevrolet in Mechanicsburg, OH.
