Differential Noise
My differential is making a grinding noise when starting in a turn (2000 C5 with six speed). It is noticeable. I have changed the fluid to AMSOIL synthetic and added limited slip additive and it still does it. I think the clutches need replacement. The car drives fine. Is this something I can live with until convenient to replace, or should I fix it soon? Experienced advice welcome. thanks.

It would probably be ok to wait, but if the clutches/springs, etc in the diff are busted up they might put trash through the ring and pinion and damage it. I'd fix it sooner than later as it only needs a clutchpack setup right now (you'll still want to look over everything else anyway though). You don't have to set up the diff, etc if just replacing the clutches. I'd clean and install new gaskets though.
