Took the car out of storage today. THe LF tire was showing low pressure, so I checked all the tires.
Message on DIC, "service TPMS sytem soon". So I re-programed all the sensors with the magnet and they all show correct pressure except the LR now. Re-programmed it twice, still same message. All the moitors "beeped" with the magnet..... What's the problem.....Bad sensor or bad battery? Worked perfect in December.....
Not your car battery but rather the battery in the sensor.
Sorry, misunderstood. BUT, it still beeped when I put the magnet on it. Does that not mean that it IS sending info to the RF module....?
If the battery was smoked, it wouldn't beep, correct?
So do you get a new battery for the sensor or buy a new sensor... I have one acting similar to above... also, my tire gauge on the tire doesn't always match the DIC... sometimes reads low when the tire is not low. solution?
thnks
Thanks 8Vette7 - I have an 2003 so it looks like the replacement would be the easiest route (they are 7 yrs old). After I reprogram them first (with magnet, etc.,) I will give them another try before replacement.
