i had the clb and a tune done to remove the fuel cut off. I keep getting pull key wait 10 seconds message. I had called they said there is nothing they can do for this he said some cars will get the message and some don't. Is this true? it is freaking annoying i keep hitting reset and it keeps poping up!
i filled out my profile. its a 1999 manual trans and its not the battery. I just replaced it the other day i also tried pulling the 2 fuses. iI read the sticky at least most of it. Just to many posts on it started to get confusing :/ i just want the stupid message to go away lol its annoying and a pain in th ***!!
Clean the resistor pellet contacts in the ignition switch and on the key-If you're not seeing a "service column lock" message also, then it may not be related to the CLB at all.
The contacts in the ignition switch are spring loaded,if the contacts get dirty,or the springs get weak, you will get the "pull key, etc." message intermittently.
Do a search-there's a thread relating to retensioning the contacts somewhere on the forum...
i guess i gotta live with it. gotta get used to hitting reset before i start it. its a 99 and thats what the tuner said. you would think there would be away to delete it out of the computer. thanks though
