I finally got my wheel spacers and put eveything together this morning! The manufacturer recommended driving around for 20ish miles or so before bedding the pads, not really sure the reasoning behind that but I'm in no hurry... First impression is WOW!!!!!! The supplied "Sport" pads have excellent cold bite for the street and the stopping power is just nuts! When they're bedded it should just be insane! Anyway pics;
After the first test drive;
I dropped the suspension on the stock bolts and I think it's settling even after the first drive. Here's the before and after pics;
I was worried about too much rear bias due to having 355mm Rotors front and back but it brakes beautifully. Less nose dive then I recall, it really just squats down now with just a hint of front dive... Heck, they are even quite! I'm pretty darned pleased all in all!
Yes, those are the floating rotors a $150 upgrade I believe... As a matter of fact I can send you the wheel templates for the C6 Z51 BBK if you'd like...
With the power you're making, you could put these to good use I'm sure!
Damn... Looking good Tim.....
Lowered and the brakes good job.

Thanx Bill and T... Although I installed 18/19s my tire choice actually is 1" smaller in diameter then the stock setup so I had to lower it. Especailly considering how bad it looked on the stock setup!
Bill, I need you to come over here and take some good pics of the car for me!!!!!!!!!
Wow, thanx for the comment! Your Thread on lessons learned on track setups is my Bible! Excellent Thread and I can't thank you enough for taking the time for posting that and keeping it updated!
JW Motoring is having a GP on these... I helped him set it up to save on shipping.
A really nice side benifit to this is the unsprung weight I've decreased... The new brakes alone made a difference, especially the rotors but I was surprised how much lighter the new wheels and tires are over the stockish (Y2K Chromies and runcraps) setup I had on before. I wish I would have weighted everything! Damn...
NIce setup Tim! Are you going to track the car now that you can stop on a dime? The whole package has changed the look of your car . The only question is, whats next?? Congratulations on putting it all together.
Yep, nothing life changing... I'd like to go three or four times a year at least. I just got back to the track after a long hiatus last fall and there were alot of short comings with the stock setup. I may not go as often as I'd like but when I do make it to the track I want to run as hard as I would like to and not let the car hold me back.
