so I searched, but couldn't find an answer. I removed the air system, but left the pump in place. I just removed the hose going from the pump to the engine compartement. My question is....will the intake suck unfiltered air through the pump now?? I didn't think about that when I removed it a few weeks ago. Also, if I plug the air filter box, what is the best way to do that/
You can get a vacuum cap from Autozone in a pack of misc sizes. Remove the air tube from the air filter to the pump and cap it on that plastic elbow that sticks out of your air filter.
I would pull the whole pump out. If you are not going to use it, you might as well save the weight.
I want to do the removal also, but what is involved with the computer editing that must be done to eliminate codes?
There must be a list of applicable codes that need to be cut out??? Do you know shich ones?
Thanks
I remember doing this same thing to an old L98 Camaro that I had. My question to the pros would be 1. What are the benefits? 2. Will I trip any codes doing this?

I'm just finishing up my heads/cam install. I'm hoping my tuner will take care of these codes for me.

Yeah I left mine in as well. It would be fairly easy to re-run all the hoses if I decide to put it back in.
