Engine Surges

After changing radiator, now engine surges as soon as it goes into overdrive. Can anyone can help me with this problem?

Since the air intake was likely disconnected for the radiator swap, I would search for leaks in the intake after the Mass Air Flow Sensor letting un-metered air in. This can cause a temporary lean condition (surge) and then the PCM dumps in fuel to compensate (rich).

Are you getting poor mileage as well? Black stuff dripping/spitting out of exhaust?
