I would be skeptical to think this is the final answer. 295/35 is not very different from the stock 275/40.

Do the symptoms go away above 70mph? Or is this an isolated speed at which it occurs? if it happens at every speed greater than or equal to 70, maybe the tires could be the answer, but you say 70 as if it is specific.

I would look at the sensor itself just to rule that out though.

It is not an isolated speed. Around 70 would be the appropriate wording. When it is triggered, which is not ever time I hit those speeds, it stays on through the 80's. I made a run through 100 and it never turned on the traction system. Intermittent but does happen frequently. My thought was the rears are finally wearing to a point that makes the tire size difference enough. What sensors control the traction? Do you think tire size would make it happen every time?

You are in the gray area with those tire sizes. I think each car is a little different in this respect. I used to run the same diameter track tires front and rear on my 03 and although I usually ran with all nannies off I sometimes forgot to turn them off. I could run quite a while at triple digit speeds and never realize they were on. Other people with the same exact setup I was running weren't able to do that. The half inch difference is sort of a rule of thumb that has been developed by Corvette owners cover the years.

You could also reduce your front tire diameter. It looks like you are running stock C5 tire size on the front and stock C5Z tire size on the rear.

After changing the steering wheel position sensor myself which was a nightmare. I was getting the same traction system control error about 50 mph and my car felt like it was stalling out. I read this post and sure enough I had just changed the rear tires to a smaller diameter 265 35 18 verse the OEM 275 40 18. No other reason then being cheap. I put the OEMs with the standard size back on and no issues.
