Default Help please!!!!!

I'm in the process of finalizing a deal on a set of 2007 ls2 heads with 5k on them. I have seen so many different opinions while doing a search from 2 different forums. My main concern is will these heads bolt directly to my 2000 ls1 c5 or 1999 Trans Am without any clearance problems. I also noticed the small green triangle on the heads, what is the significance of this? Please any info will help, ready to start the summer mod-fest!

From everything I have read, LS2 heads are a popular mod for an ls1. i have not read everything, but I've never seen anyone say they won't bolt right up. I think they are 243 casting which would be the same as the LS6....so what are you concerned about?

Never done it myself, but it's a popular mod for a handful of horses, especially if you can pick them up for really cheap. They should bolt right up, they are the same basic engine.

same as 243 heads, without sodium valve.... some do have a bit bigger combustion chamnber... 70cc.... great head for S/C application... lots of guys run them on their C5's.... no clearance issues etc...they claim to see between 25 - 35 hp net gain by themselves... put a bigger bump stick in there and some headers and they get lots more....I have a buddy running them...224/228 cam, long tubes, 799 heads, tune - 400 + RWHP...
this thread below may help....

Thanks! My main concerns was the clearance issues and the larger cc's. They are the 243 casting with the V shapes towards the bottom of the head. I' read that these make a few more ponies than the standard 243/799 casting. I don't know how true that is. The bumpstick will have to be down the line, possible a custom grind.
