Long Tube Header Ground Clearance ??
What is your experience with long tube headers fitting against the floor pan? I am just curious after hearing some comments over the past few months about LT's being dented or scraping.
Which brands conform best, or worst, to the stock pipe fitment or, in other words, which LT's best maintain the stock pipe height above the ground?
Full headers are always lower than the stock systems, just the nature of the beast. Speed bumps are particularly rough on them. Just the price you pay to run them on the street. I have LG streets on mine and they clear the body just fine.
These prototypes are tucked up very nicely also, The lowest spot are the Collector flanges and that's practically negligible. I'm lowered on stock bolts now with 295/30-19s and 255/35-18s and no issues other then my air dam (damn);
Definitly do a search for the system you're thinking about getting for pics and comments on scraping. I don't recall reading comments on any system hitting the floor pan or tunnel sides...
