Adjusting the transmission
Is this a must after you've done any transmission, clutch or installed a new shifter?
I've done all 3 and I haven't done this adjustment:

The car has sometimes popped out of first gear, starting out in second is fine. I'm wondering if this is what needs to be done.
Is it really as simple as removing and replacing the unit?
However, stupid me lost the pin that is in front of the shifter box. Any alternative to this?
