Headlamp malfunction.

Headlamp malfunction.
My left front headlamp would not pop up. I finally was able to get it
to pop up after shutting the car off and restarting it. Now..when i turn
on my headlamps one click, the fog lamps turn on and headlamps pop
up but don't turn on. If i turn it on 2 clicks the headlamps turn on. It
used to turn on the fog lamps when i turned the headlamp switch on one click......does this sound like a module going bad? Also when the
headlamps are turned off, the left side headlamp motor runs and the gears are grinding. It shuts off after 5-6 seconds but sounds horrible!

Get the brass gears if you do it yourself, pretty easy to fix and you'll never have to worry about the plastic gears getting chewed up. One click doesnt raise my headlights, just turns on the parking lights.
