I own a 02 vette, i have longtubes and the stock air intake which i am replacing, wanting to remove the covers where the fog lights are located before i decide which cai to purchase, any tips or help about removing these covers? seems to be a pain to remove?

Typically any CAI you get will give you instructions for the whole process. I had purchased the Vararam CAI, and that would require me to replace those covers with the CAI. Look at the link below on step 5 first picture.
I really can't speak from experience about the power duct, but some people has bought the power duct and received little power gains, but overall it looks good.
After the Vararam install I had some annoying jerks at around 1500rpm when I didn't apply any gas or was coasting. Other people have experienced this problem and resolved either with a good tune or essentially having the car "relearn" the new found air by taking out and putting fuses back in (there is a procedure here posted in the forum).
