Hmm. Is this a common C5 problem ?
The first page of that url were all Z28's and Trans Am's ?

GM already knows about the "knock", which is actually piston slap. It's not considered a mechanical problem.

Of course GM knows about it and of course they say it is "normal". it doesn't take much thinking to figure out why...
