wiper scratching hood
i just recently bought a 2002 c5 vette. 89,000 miles. whoever owned the car before me (bought it at a dealer) didnt seem to take the best care of the vehicle, but i got a good deal. but anyhow, somehow he had managed to get the front wiper to start scratching the hood pretty bad. (driver side wiper. ive tightened it down, removed the wipers and trim and couldnt find a problem but that the bolt that the wiper is bolted onto is loose and cannot figure how to tighten it, im losing my mind trying to fix this problem! any insight on what to do?

That is part of the wiper transmission I believe. Part #22155675 (retail $248.82) That is what a dealer will want to replace!
But you may be able to fix it....you will probably need the service manual.
