I put the Metra XSVI-2004 Interface in my 2000 coupe and it now works fine. Alpine head unit with the original speaker set up. I recommend you turn the volume adjustment screws on the Metra interface to full blast and then test the sound before you put it all back in the dash.
You should let everybody know if it does work. Here is what I have in my car and it is what you DONT want to get!! http://www.bestkits.com/ViewImage.as...i/BHA2004R.jpg The way this is set up, it works, but it has nasty turn on/off pops and also it pops when the navigation comes on and talks. So dont cheap out and try to get this harness like I did!!!!

let me guess you have a 2 part harness. a standard gm harness then a seperate piece with rca plugs. wire up a standard line out converter inline with the front speaker outputs of the radio then plug your rca plugs into that and adjust to proper volume with the gain screws

all your popping will disappear
I dont want to hijack the thread, but I was just advising OP what he shouldnt get, as it is the cheaper route. But if i did that, I would have no subwoofer level control...

You wouldnt have sub control but you also wouldnt have pop and you can dial subs in with the gain on the LOC, also the metra and soundgate piece dont allow you to control sub from radio either you dial it in on adapter and that is it
