How do you Align the Stock Shifter?
So could someone enlighten me, or point in the right direction, on the procedure of aligning my stock shifter.
Thanks
In C5 Tech, use search or search this forum (in the red banner). Use keywords "c5 shifter alignment procedure" or similar.
You'll come up with lots of hits to research. There are several past threads, many with images, on how to perform the procedure.
Basically, you're loosening everything everything related to the shifter assembly, adjusting the shifter assembly mechanism and then re-tightening everything to torque spec.
You'll need to use the oem shifter alignment pin which should be attached to the front of your oem shifter. You insert the pin to hold everything in neutral alignment. Don't forget to remove it after the procedure. If you don't have the oem pin, a drift punch or drill bit will also work.
This might also help...

If that doesn't work, then you might have other issues. You can learn a lot with reading/research here. That's how I learned before I even bought my car.
It's all about using the right keywords...
