I have a 1999 FRC....and last year i had someone put an 08 shifter on my 6 speed.... When finished we took it for a test drive and what a difference....BUT...my traction contl. and abs yellow lights came on the dash screen.....I said of course what the hell is this...then the mechanic told me, when he was putting back the consol where the traction contl. button was ,one of his tools sparked up against something......damn i figured it was just a fuse but today, after not having abs for a year i checked the 2 fuses under the pass. floor board and they look good.....i know he SHOULD have disconnected the juice b/4 the job . but he didn't....it would seem to me that if he shorted out the system a fuse SHOULD have blown to protect the expensive unit or computer....Maybe there is another fuse i am missing b/4 i go spending big $$$$$$$$$..or hopefully a simple fix....any suggestions would be appreciated .. .... it is a 1999......with ls-6 heads
Again, thanks and feel free to chime in...thanks GREG O.

Have you checked to make sure the switch is actually plugged in?......and if so, not damaged? The switch is just a normally open (momentary switch), that provides a ground input to the BCM. So even if you did ground the circuit out, that's what the BCM is looking for anyway, and I don't see how this could damage either the BCM or EBCM...
You can check underhood fuses 52, 53, and 5. Also, pull your codes.
