Default 02Z plug change...any tips?

Going to change plugs on my 02Z for the first time since I've had the car.

Any tips to make it easier? Looks like many tight spaces to work with.

Thanks in advance...

Here is a good link.. This guy had a 1998 Coupe... Your Z06 will be exactly the same procedure.. Click on the first link inside of this link for more info.. Ican tell you that the #7 plug last plug on the drivers side is a tough one.. Make sure you have the right tools. There is a good chance you will break a plug wire or 2. They get really brittle and fragile after miles and miles.. This is the time to change them.. Remember if you do break one you will have to buy a set. The only way to buy one individual wire is through the dealership.. $34 a piece.. Rip off! Gene Cully is a GM parts dealer on this forum and had the Red GM hot wires for $57 a set (8).. Thats a steal of a deal... here is the link http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...nd-result.html

Thanks.I used this guys instructions and they were perfect. No special tools...just a regular 5/8 SP socket and 1 extension.

http://pages.infinit.net/vette747/SparkPlugWire

I did find that having 2 SP sockets were useful. One without the rubber washer inside to remove the plug and one with the washer to install.

Removing the air pipe and swinging it up out of the way made all the diff.

I did break one plug and drop another and should have called the Red Cross to give the blood I lost in the process.Ha....

I'd say,about 2 hours.Pass side was MUCH easier.I used NGK TR55 plugs and Taylor Pro race 10.4 Wires # 79203.

Thanks

They sell a plug boot removal tool, it works good. I just used a screwdriver and was able to pop the boot off.
