Guys,
Does anyone know if the two piece, Baer Eradispeed set up will fit a base '99 coupe with factory N73 Magnesium wheels, and C5 Z06 calipers?
I am concerned about clearance, especially on the rears.
thanks!
I have the 14" Baer Eradispeed 2-piece rears on my N73 magnesiums in the rear with stock calipers. Very close, but no rubbing. Wheel weights should be applied further inboard, however.

thanks, 'Guy.
that's what Baer told me. it's always good to hear it from others with a smae set up as well.
The car is parked now for the winter, and I will have access to it again in the spring. I may take the brakes off to inspect everything again, however, from what I remember, the brackets are the same on both sides. They should be interchangable and symmetrical. Maybe I got a botched bracket on the one side, so I'll disassemble in the spring and look. Otherwise, I drove all summer with using hardened washers as spacers and I did not have any issues.
Parked for the winter, are you nuts???? LOL there is still at least 4-6, heck even 8 more weeks of great driving weather. I usually park it in mid november. See you in the spring.

What pads are you using?
I went with new GM ceramic pads when I updated to the Eradispeed rotors. I also put in stainless braided lines, stainless Speedbleeders and a heavier brake proportioning spring. The spring applies more braking force to the rear and makes my C5 stop considerably flatter (less nose-dive). I reatained the stock calipers, which are fine for the type of driving I do.

Seeing as how nice its been out, the car is actually still on the road for another week to get the e-test done as well. However, it's actually my father's car and he's pretty uptight about it. I can't believe its going on 10 years old now, and it looks like show room condition clean.
Wow, I should have bitched out Bear 2 years ago, I thought I just had one of those anomalies.
I have easily accessible machine shop capability so I just had that problem bracket machined.
Sorry for your trouble, at times I wish I would post more so when you do the search there are suggestions. :o
Spacing the bracket with washers......I would not be able to sleep!

I shouldn't have to do that if the driver side was fine. I know the calipers slide.. I might try adjusting the pins? I'm at a loss here for why it would be like this.
Even if I had machine capabilities, I needed more material so machining wouldn't help. The washers don't really bother me. If I was using several washers to space the bracket a half inch or something I would be worried. One hardened washer won't make a difference. The car isn't tracked or anything.
Didn't think this would be a common problem, but apparently some others have experienced this as well... weird.
