Default Trouble with my Multifunction Switch

I知 having trouble with my multifunction switch in the steering column. The problem I知 having is that my driving and dash lights wont come on every other function of the switch works. Is their any troubleshoot I can do or is this something that just goes out? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure someone will chime in with more technical details, but I'm sure there is a diagnostic chart in the service manual. You might want to get one for future problems. The multifunction switch is a common item that goes bad on the C5.
