Default Car wont let me check codes!

I followed the instructions in this thread:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=257818

I hold down options after it is on a blank screen. Pressing fuel four times does nothing for it. When I do press options on a blank screen, it takes it to the next "option" on that part of the menu for the options button. Am I doing something wrong? The car is just in the on position and thats it. How in the hell am I supposed to check my codes if the computer doesn't let me!

Hi. The DIC actually doesn't have to be blank before you start the procedure. Just make sure to clear any warnings (like "Reserve Fuel" for example) before you start. Are you still holding the Options button down while pressing Fuel 4 times? Make sure you don't let go of the Options button until after you've finished pressing the Fuel button the 4th time. Also, make sure you press the buttons all the way down.

Let me know if this helped.

One last thing, you also don't have to have the ignition off (as mentioned in the other thread). You can check your codes while the car is running.

I went back out and tried it again, I dont have any clue why it didnt work the first, I am 100% sure I did it right, I re-read the "instructions" over and over trying to figure out why in the heck it didn't work.

I got a few codes, about 9. But they all have "H" after them which I know means history... but here they are
AO-LCDM B2252, U1064
BO-RFA U1096, 1064
10-PCM P1626
A1 RDCM B2253, B2263, B2265, U1064

I looked at the reference guide, and it didn't shed much light onto what is wrong if anything. The only thing that is wrong is the HVAC unit's LCD screen doesn't work 95% of the time. It works in EXTREMELY COLD weather. MY KeyFob's dont work either, but someone said that is probably due to my battery being dead maybe. I am actually having trouble starting it now for some reason. If I turn it to ACC. the battery reads about 11.8 or so. So I dunno. This is really starting to urk me!!!

If anyone has any clue as to why my HVAC <a/c unit> is doing what it is doing, let me know.

Thanks again for all the help guys!

The key fob problem may be due to it being out of synch - (this happened to me today) - hold down the lock and unlock buttons together for seven seconds, you should hear a chirp from the horn, and at that point the keyfob should have synched itself back again.
