Default New Owner Question

Guy's:

Just had my 2000 out for the first time since purchase and I have a question that I hope someone can answer for me.

During driving when I depress the clutch just enough to start engagement, I feel a pulsating in the pedal. Is this just GM's poor balance or something that is wrong?

The car has 4300 miles on it.

Any hep would be appreciated.

Best,

John~

Hi,

This sounds strange. I don't recall what you're describing ever happening on either my 1999 MN6 or my 2002 MN6.
But, next time I drive her, I'll try to recreate it (per your description) and let you know.

This does seem unusual. That has never ocurred with my '01 M6. I would have the dealer take a look at that.

Strange, I would take it in and have them replace it.. :D Possibly with a "longer lasting" z06 clutch..

If you mean when you are resting your foot on the clutch pedal when you take up the play, (about 1/2' just before you have to press hard) and feel a vibration or slight pulsating, that is normal. Hope that helps.

Where are you in Pittsburgh?

Thats what I'm talking about! The slight pulsation when you just place you foot on the clutch (1/2") depression.

I'm located in New Eagle PA, about 30 minutes from pittsburgh!

Thanks,

John~

Hi PPO. I checked today, and I did not experience any pulsation. I'd recommend following the above advice and have your dealer take a look at it.
