I think a 222/222 114LSA cam would work very good for what you want to do.

MTI B1 221/221 114
Thunder Cam 220/220 114

114 lobe is the best for the A4!

ARE does put a custom grind 222/222 114 .566/.566 cam in some customers' cars. I am not sure if the ramp rates are exactly the same but I assume they are very similar.

A friend of mine just had this cam 222/222 114 cam installed in his YANK 3500 w/3.42 A4 Stage II heads car in the Chicago area and loves the performance. He says it gives a nice sounding idle as well. This cam should also pass emissions without any problems.

how lumpy is the cam at idle? that sounds like an agressive cam that will still pass emissions. is this person on the forum so i can ask more questions as far as idle and power gains. :seeya

The cam that Matt is referring to (222/222 114 LSA)is actually my car. I had a brief drive after the H/C was installed this Saturday at Vettewrench and my first impression of the cam there is a noticeable offset idle (alittle lumpy) but not annoying at all. Initial test the car pulls hard. As for sound....someone who has h/c will notice it right away. At WOT...the car just SCREAMS! :D The car is still at Vettewrench for alittle more tuning with LS1 Edit.
