After I installed my Borla Stinger I was going down the street in front of my girlfriend and she told me my tips jiggled. Well that's great for her but not for my car !
I checked it out and found that they do jiggle when I hit a bump or a better term would be that they vibrate when you are running. I looked the situation over and decided to remove the rubber clampner that holds the tongue and reinstall it with the tongue on TOP of the rubber isolator instead of in the opening for it.
I will take some pix of this tomorrow to show what I mean in more detail.
This secures the tongue better and the tips don't jiggle any more. Sorry boys - you'll have to go elsewhere to find jiggling tips !
I do have some movement in my Indy's as well. Enough that I had to readjust them as they were hitting the center well of the hatch. Grapped a ratchet and 10 minutes later, the problem was solved.
Most cat back systems have a metal tab that slides into a slotted rubber grommet. That is where a lot of the movement comes from. You may try shimming some material in there to limit travel.
After reading this I went out with a buddy to check it out. They only "jiggle" under heavy throttle, and even then it isnt that much. I welded mine in and tightened it down pretty good. I would like to see pics of the adjustments you are refering to.
