Alternative oil press location

Says you need a M16x1.5. Is there a front oil plug? I thought I had read there was one under the alternator. Am I correct? Is it the same size? I need to check my oil pressure to see if it's a bad sensor or if my oil pressure really is coming up to slow. I was going to go to my local speed shop and see if they had that autometer part # but don't don't want to buy it if it's not what I need to just check with my mechanical gauge.
