Z06 Shocks - my impression
I have an 04 that is a DD with around 80K on it. It was feeling a bit mushy, not bad, but definately feeling some miles. I saw a special for new 2010 Z06 shocks on the forum for a decent price, so I ordered a set as it stated that they fit my car.
Followed some excellent instructions on the forum (McRat) on how to change them out without tearing a bunch of stuff apart, and got to work on the passenger side, front and back. After a couple of hours my back was feeling it, so I gave it up for the night as it was late. Not as young as I used to be....
Drove it to work with original on the drivers side, and Z06 on the passenger side. Quite a bit of difference! Did some testing along the way to work, and could definately tell the difference between the two sides.
Completed the drivers side yesterday, and took it for a spin on a new, wide, road with no one on it. Car rides like it is on rails. Not bad on the freeway either, not a rough ride, but solid.
I would recommend it for those with DD. If you race yours all the time, then maybe go a bit further with the Bilsteins.
