New stereo helps traction!!! Pic problem, try again
Recently finished my new sound system and interior dress-up. First time I launched hard the tires (Z06 size Bridgstones) did spin, but when I shifted to second the tires stopped spinning and the clutch started.
Took it easy after that but the burning smell stayed with me for about 30 minutes. Any way stereo hits very hard. Two dual voice coil 12's running on 600 watts bridged at 1 ohm. Separates in front and rear running on 240 watt 4 channel. This baby gets loud. The only thing is sometimes I need to turn it off so I can listen to the music of the engine running through the gears. :jester
Looks great. What kind of amps are you using, and what head unit, components? Cool tweeter pods :D
The amps and subs are Crossfire, the separates are MBQart, with additional Alpine tweeters run in the doors off of the amp in the Kenwood receiver. I made the tweeter pods using painted and modified plumbing parts from the hardware store. :)
I would agree, that that system has great bass. I am running 1 12" and the bass is already loud. I would have gone 2 x 10" next time for more punch and midrange.

Yes I made the sub box out of particle board and mdf then covered it in a matching material to the cars interior. Each woofer has it's own isolated air chamber, which was hard to do with those funky angles. To get the geometry down I first made a full size cardboard replica. This helped very much with setting saw blade angles. Thanks for the good words.

Thanks for the info GraveDigger. I bet that card board replica saved hours of times. Looks like I need to get my box cutter and some card board and get to work :smash:
