I'm about to get long tube headers this week, but everytime I get on the forum, I seem to get conflicting reports on headers; so here are my questions:
1.) Which Header makes the best gains for relatively unmodded car, i.e., say a Donaldson and PRT's?
2.) Which header makes the best gains on a relatively heavily modded car, i.e, say Heads and cam?
3.) Which header makes the best gains down low vs. up high?
Here are the prices so far as I can tell:
FLP - $1599
LG - $more than that?
TPIS - $895
Belanger - $1195
TTS - don't know
I look at this as a hp per dollar value. I chose FLP because it is bolt on and comes with headers/xpipe/straight pipes/dummy o2's/high flow cats for 1299 on preorder which I think is still available. For the dollar you won't beat that. LG may give a few more ponies if you buy everything that FLP comes with but you will probably be $700-1000 more. I think you will find the same thing if you buy eveything else for any of the other headers.
For unmodded I think the TTS are the fav's because of the smaller diameter.
You have FLP but are going with LT next? What are they?
He's waiting on his FLP setup.
Try to compare headers to headers and exhaust systems to exhaust systems. The line is kind of blurring as headers grow into more and more complete packages.
