my name is Mario and i have a problem on my own C5 ´98.
Car is equipped with A&A Supercharged system (3.6 Pulley), exhaust sytem with 100cell race cats, Borla exhaust, oil cooler etc....
Car was running fine everything was ok. I am equipped with HPTuners.
We are driven with 10psi (6000rpm), 11.2 AFR, 15° advance in high rpm.
No knocking, 550HP on engine, 702 NM.
In winter we istalled a sharper camshaft and a boost a pump (for safety) and we tested the Vette last week.
Car performance is good until 5200rpm (530HP, 700NM) above 5200 the curve drops rapidly and you feel on dyno that car loose a lot of power.
Fueling is still between 11.2 and 11.5, but we have 10° knocking exact when power drops. Timing is only 0 to 3 ° in this power loss area.
Car is setup with 1 bar MAP sensor and we work with stock MAF.
My Coupe is not supercharged but, when my cars power died on the dyno (at ~ 5200 rpm), I found out I had carbon build-up. We did a quick test on the dyno with the knock sensor disabled (to verify the sensor was good), and the power drop still happened. A couple of Seafoam treatments later and all was good again. Hope that helps.
Can you post the dynograph? When you added the cam, did you upgrade the valve springs? I recall some people having problems in that RPM range as the stock springs were not good enough and the power was dropping off.
did you disable the knock sensor manually or have you done by HpTuners ?
when HPTuners what Menu i have choose. Thanks for help.
@ chaase
I will post the dynosheet tomorrow morning (european time).
Yes we changed the springs with cam.
Friend of mine in Dubai has done this setup on some other supercharged C5 w/o this failure.

Should i send you also the log from HPTuners ?

You may want to have them available to the more knowledgeable members. I don't know tuning. I just remember a few people had issues with power loss around that RPM and the stock springs were the culprit. IIRC, it showed as a very wavy curve on the dyno.

This was done by my tuner during my last dyno run. Yes, it needs to be done with some type of tuner set (like HPTuners).
