Default HID Headlight Install Question

Hi everyone, I installed my HID's last night in my C5 and I had major problems with the resistor I used it kept smoking so I just took it off. I have seen a couple people using plug and play resistors but whenever I look for them they come up as capacitors. Will these plug and play capacitors work like a resistor? I am pretty sure they are doing the same thing so let me know thx

Are you sure you even need the resistors? None of mine use them. I'll second the nomination for JWMotorings resistors if you end up needing them.
