Default Automatic trans fluid and filter change help Please

I am trying to do a trans fluid and filter replacement, I let my 01 sit over night and today I removed the drain plug very little trans fluid came out, I have the car sitting on jack stands and it is level. Should I put the drain plug back in and warm the transmission up then drain it. P.S. before anyone flames me I do not have a owners manual and I also called the dealership they would not help at all.

Don't start the engine now, the pan is emptied enough that the pickup will starve. Just drop the pan and keep it level so you don't slosh what's left in there and make a mess.

I used a pick, Sears sells a set that includes straight, 90deg, and curly. The 90deg got the seal out after a lot of wiggling. Go slowly, work around the entire circumference so as not to **** the seal over inside the housing.

I think AutoZone has a seal puller in their Loan-A-Tool bin that might work better/faster.
