Those of you who live in Va. pay a personal property tax on your cars, etc. I will be moving there (hopefully) in Sept pending my company, probably later. Can you tell me how much you pay for your corvettes?? I think there is a exemption of $20,000, but I'm not sure.
Are we talking about $300, or is it in the thousands?? I also know it depends on where you live, etc. Thanks guys
With four cars and a boat, this is basically the reason we moved out of Virginia. As you may know, the Democrats have recently taken over again in Virginia, and they are reversing the phase-out of the "car-tax" promised and partially implemented by the previous administration. Movers to Virginia beware!
Agree with above post. Look for the exemption of the first $20K to go away in 1 to 2 years. It's too juicy a social issue for the democrats to resist. :mad
Then you're looking probably looking at about $1300 for a '98. Plus, to add insult to injury a charge of $25 for a county decal you must display on your windshield to show you've registered your car for personal tax purposes. :bs
