Woo hoo!I'll post sound clips tomorrow :yesnod:
So, this might be a dumb question, but... Without the X-pipe, I'm guessing that it gurgles and pops alot when you decelerate? I just started doing my research into exhausts, and the B&B PRTs seem to keep showing up. :)
I thought it was the BB PRT'SS that begin to develop resonance after a while. Maybe I'm mistaken, anyone else care to chime in on this?

Something I like to know too. I hate that popping noise!I'll post sound clips tomorrow :yesnod:

I have little to no popping on deceleration and what popping do have is very faint. My opinion is the BB PRT's with Magnaflow X-Pipe :smash:
About the resonance issue, I think that lacks merit. This is a used exhaust with carbon built up already in the pipes/chambers and the resonance is VERY slight and I have LT headers and no pre(pup)cats. I think anyone would be able to handle it, even those with the best hearing. You won't be disappointed with this setup. I have been to both extremes of loudness, resonance and quietness and I have found the perfect balance, for me :D
If it stops raining I'll get the sound clips later this evening :)

Has anyone tried the B&B Route 66 with no X-Pipe...How does it compare? Not in volume, but in the tone...Is it mellow, just not as loud? more aggressive than the Corsas? Give me some opinions...
Adding an x-pipe to aftermarket systems will reduce the popping and gurgling on decel quite a bit. Half of our customers LOVE the pop and gurgle, half DON'T. :)

As a graduate of OSU and a resident of Stillwater during the 80's, WELCOME.:)
The RTE 66 is quieter than the PRT's, with or without x-pipe. I would suggest the RTE 66 without the x-pipe. It's mellow and throaty. You can always ADD an x-pipe later to any system and the labor involved is usually not much more than if you had it added when the exhaust system is installed the first time around.

Yeah... I don't see an X-pipe in my future. :)Adding an x-pipe to aftermarket systems will reduce the popping and gurgling on decel quite a bit. Half of our customers LOVE the pop and gurgle, half DON'T. :)
Wow I'm amazed at all the systems you have tried, and I'm glad you finally found one you like. I've got one question, How loud are the BB PRT's while just cruising around at say 1500-1700RPM's? I would like a louder idle sound, and a louder sound when I floor it, but would prefer something relativly stock sounding (as in not very loud) for just cruising around.
I have been saving up for these babies for awhile. Quick question - Did you replace the pre-cats with straight pipes or high flow cats? And do you feel it would no longer pass emissions inspection in Texas, assuming engine is stock? I want 'em to be LOUD, so the pre-cats gotta go. If replaced with straight pipes, did you pick them up at a hardware store or order from a vendor? Mucho gracias
It seems taht the "XR-1 (Continued)" was great too. It was the only opinion that you gave that had no negative, other than the PRTs.
Thanks "RG" for your help today with my PRT's..... Exit 28
Thank you, Bill. I sent a tracking number to Ellis. I'll email you now that I know the address.:)

Richard and the Exit28 guys are evil. :) I just bought a Blackwing from them and now I'm sorely tempted to pick up a PRT.

I got the PRT's. I didn't have anything to go on when I
purchased them, but I think that I was real lucky with
my choice. VERY happy with them
