I have a Corsa Indy system and I was wondering if the addition of an X pipe would: 1) eliminate the burble and popping; 2) help any in the power delivered; and, 3) is easy to self install? Thanks guys! :seeya
My Magnaflow X-pipe with Borla has no pops but some burble on my 2001. Wouldn't be too hard to install if you can cut off the old H-pipe yourself. Don't know about any performance gains. :chevy
I've got the Corsa Indies and X-Pipe on my car. It doesn't totally eliminate the popping on deceleration. There's still a little burble and popping but its not bothersome to me. I put the X-Pipe on with the new Indies, so I don't know how much louder the popping would be in comparison. Installing the X-Pipe isn't hard, but it requires cutting the existing pipe. Corsa's web sight has a link to a chain pipe cutter that they recommend. I bought it for less than $40 from that site. Its a real time and frustration saver. There isn't a lot or room to work around the pipes because they run within the center tunnel. The pipe cutter makes it really easy to get a clean cut with no hassle. I highly recommend it if you do it yourself. And remember, measure twice and cut once. ;)
I installed a Magnaflow system with the X pipe in my garage. Cutting the H-Pipe took about 1/2 an hour only because of access. Fitting it up and clamping took another 1/2 an hour. It wasn't too bad of an install, I just took my time and did it right. Popping has been totally eliminated. Power delivery seems smoother IMHO. Plus, you should be able to find a Magnaflow X pipe for $200.00.

I concur.....I have the same setup and it does reduce but does not eliminate the pops...
deselfiter,I had my indy's on for a year before the corsa X-pipe went in.
Yes it does eliminate that motorboat idle sound. It does quite the indys down abit (sounds more exotic), and as mentioned not hard to install. It's suppost to give you a few extra ponies but it hard to tell.
Good luck, Ithink you'll like it. Oh by the way, you can get the corsa X-pipe for 269.00, maybe 259.00 if you shop it........... tripp
