Default Installing a tranny cooler A4

Finally getting around to installing my tranny cooler on my C5. Been in Tx for a couple of months and now that it is hot I am seeing 199 engine temp w/air on 196 with air off and tranny temp 194 to 201 pretty constant at 201 after 300 miles at 72 mph.
Questions
1. What is the direction of flow?
Which line to the tranny from the cooler?
2. Plan on placing it directly behind the right side air intake (behind the fog light) Should I run it in line or stand alone, and before or after the oil leaves the radiator.
3. Should it be hard piped or are normal line and stab fittings OK/

Thanks in advance.
Jim

I'm sorry I don't have any info to give. I'm interested in what you end up doing. I thought about adding a cooler also. I run hotter temps then you, in Virginia. Sitting in traffic, I'll climb to 210s in summer time, outside temps 90+.

I know what you mean. I am working in Texas right now and it's running 95 to 97 degrees. Tranny temps are up to 195 -205 and I want them lower. Perhaps someone will chime in.

Well here we are. Still looking to get some input on a tranny cooler. What have we done wrong?? Maybe the best thing is to contact a vendor like RPM or someone and see what they might recommend. Let me know if you find out anything. Thanks.

I found a post "transmission temps with cooler added" that may help in your decision to add a cooler. Someone added a B&M cooler and from the write up does not seem to be any different from my temps without. It also had some other good replies.
