2nd to 3rd gear change hangs
I have a 2001 C5 automatic. When taking off from a standing start and giving it ½ distance on the accelerator pedal, I have the throttle halfway to the floor (revving pretty good) my auto transmission tries to shift from 2nd to 3rd (That’s usually around 40-50 mile/hr) it hang in a mid-shift position and the motor revs up and it takes a while to make the shift. (Usually 5 to 10 times the time it takes to make any other shift.)I have heard from other owners that other C5’s also had this problem. Does anyone have any knowledge as to why this happens and is it fixable? jerryhooker@gmail.com
